The construction sector in Poland employs 4,80,000 foreign workers. Four out of every five of these workers are from Ukraine. The lack of workers in this sector has gotten worse since nearly half of the Ukrainians who had been living in Poland as of February 24 had gone.
There is a shortage of labourers for physical work jobs.
The Polish work market has seen significant upheaval in recent years.
